So I had my very first cavity ever filled last week and it still hurts like a mother! Since I have no experience with this...is it normal to hurt to chew on it
and have it be very sensitive to cold 9 days later?

I had one that was sensitive for months after I got it filled. My dentist said it was normal. It sucked

Most people are telling me it's not normal and only a few say give it time. Grrr.

Hmm, i've had a few and I don't think that's really normal, infact my dentist usually says something like "well this filling will take away
all that pain and sensativity"
I would call your Dr's office, it sounds like the nerve is closed or still exposed maybe? |

I don't think that's normal, you should go back and get more x-rays

I've had many cavities filled and I've never had any pain or sensitivity afterwards.
It wouldn't hurt to call your dentist and ask. |

Last week? It's normal to have sensitivity when you chew on it, but not to cold.
