Posts: 3654 (07/02/2009 11:42 AM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Friend Block Invite Ignore	My sister is a few months older than Jayden, and she still wears Pull-Ups occasionally to avoid accidents...but more times than not, she prides herself on wearing "Big Girl Underwears"...No, he's not my child, but I really think that at 4, Sean shouldn't even have to wear Pull-Ups sometimes...most pre-k's require that children are potty trained before they can attend. They're cute kids though, and Britney should keep her hair that color all the time.

My brother was almost 5 by the time he was fully potty trained. He is by no means slow - graduated with honors from Colorado School of Mines with a degree in Chem Engineering . Same parents, same methods, different kids. Some kids are just reluctant to potty train - I also hear boys are harder than girls. No big whoop.

First of all, NO kids are the same. Some will potty training early, some right on time, some late. The one thing you should NOT do is push them too hard. That's what happened with me and my son. I saw he was showing one or two signs of being ready and pushed him a bit too hard (he was my first and learned from my mistakes). He refused to potty train till he was ready and that wasn't till he was almost 4. They look like they are wearing swimmers anyways. Even if they are potty trained, at that age, it's probably better and safer to wear them.

But no, it was the first time I noticed Sean still wearing pullups. Sorry I didn't call the family names like other people did that everyone overlooked. Edit: I also stated in my original post that all kids are different. I don't think it has anything to do with parenting (unless the parents are lazy), but I know from having two children that all kids potty train at different speeds. The ONLY way I got my son to use the toilet is I started hosing him off in the shower instead of 'changing' him like a baby. He got annoyed with that and eventually gave in. Even married mothers, in the majority of cases, it's the mothers who are teaching their children to go to potty.
