I once got to see John Inman (Mr Humphries) in person. He was doing promos for the Boston public TV station and he did a little show/appearance while he was in Boston. He was really nice and funny. We got to watch him do some improvised promos--of course, the best ones were too risque to ever be shown on TV, but some of the ones we watched him do did show up on the air. He was quite uncomfortable because there was a woman in the audience who was dressed like a slutty version of Mr Humphries and she was clearly in love with him. She asked him all these inuendo-filled questions that were so inappropriate. And afterwards, she went up to talk to him and wouldn't stop manhandling him. So icky. You could see him cringing. Anyway, sorry to get off topic. I hope he's doing well and is still healthy. Is Captain Peacock still alive? I think he is, but I'm not sure.
