And my Dad definitely pulled me aside and said it has nothing to do with me, that it was too overwhelming for them to live with my sister and a toddler, but they wanted to make it fair and didn't want to hurt my sister. Nice.
Soo I have three months to move out.

I just moved back home in October because I was struggling. I couldn't afford to be on my own anymore after 3 years. My sister and her 2 year old daughter
moved back home a couple months after I did. My Dad and my stepmother just told us that we have to be out by October 1st.
And my Dad definitely pulled me aside and said it has nothing to do with me, that it was too overwhelming for them to live with my sister and a toddler, but they wanted to make it fair and didn't want to hurt my sister. Nice. |

Well, good for them. I mean I feel for you but some parents just let their kids live there and let their marriage go to shit over it. At least they're on
the same page.

Well, unless you will literally be homeless and on the streets, I think they are being more than fair.
3 months is more than enough time to find a new place. ARe you able to live on your own again now or will you have to have roomates? |

Why can't you live on your own? No job?

I work full time. I have a lot of bills, and I don't make enough. I just don't have it. It has nothing to do with money management or overspending...I
honestly just don't have it. The most I can shell out is $200 a month. Maybe I can rent a room in the city? I dunno man.

Getting roommates is better than your current situation.

How do you have so many bills? A lot of people don't have the option of moving back in with their parents and they make it work.

How do I have so many bills? People take out loans for school and for cars, they have car insurance and cell phones and rent.
I'm not trying to get pity from anybody, I literally just found this out a couple hours ago. I'm still trying to figure it out. Whether it means getting a second job or whatever, I'll do what I have to do. My bad for even bringing this up. |

You're one of those people who complains and wants sympathy, yet you have multiple options of things you could change or do to be perfectly fine.

If she has only $200 to spend on rent...I highly doubt she can find roommates either.

Well the cell phone is more of a luxury item, is there a way to do a prepaid plan instead of racking up a monthly bill? I hardly use my cell phone and have
been on a prepaid plan since I got my sidekick a few years ago. I know its saved me a good amount of $.
can you sell anything on ebay?

Pre-Paid phones have never worked for anyone I know. Maybe the plans have gotten better over time, but when I did it, it was waaay cheaper to get a regular
plan. Do you hardly ever use your cell phone or something?

I don't know about the cell phone, I'll look into that. I don't talk on it too much unless it's necessary but I text like none other.
I sat down and figured out a way to maybe subsidize my school loan and the loan for my car. I have to talk to my bank tomorrow. That would help me out a lot. Like somebody said, the probability of me finding roommates and only being able to put out 200...I dunno, I don't think it could work. Unless I find like 5 roommates and rent out a house or something. My friend said she's renting a room out for a short period of time until she finds an apartment, so that's another idea. I'm really not trying to get sympathy from anybody, I just got overwhelmed with the whole concept. And to me, 3 months is a short period of time to figure out a living situation with the way the economy is and all that. It's also hard to find a better paying job. But shit happens. |
