I know my mom loves us all equally but the bond she has with my sister is stronger than with me or my other siblings.

not all parents no. I have a best friend that her mother basically hates her but loves her twin brother. She would even do his homework (and i wouldn't be
suprised if she still does in college).

I think my mom loves us equally but in a different way. Thank God I just have one older brother because I think I have a special place in her heart being the
youngest and the only girl... and him for being the first born and the only boy.

Nope my mom loves my sister more even though she is a drug addict, has had multiple abortions and dropped out of high school.

I think they should, but I'm sure some don't. I know my mom loves all of her kids equally, but she has stronger bond with me than say with my brother
b/c he doesn't keep in touch with her as much as I do.

I don't think all parents love all their children equally, no.
I do believe though, that most parents love their children equally, but have different bonds and connections with each one. |

For the most part I think most parents do.

I know my parents love my brother and I equally but I think they like being around me more because I treat them better.

I think my mom loves us but in a different way. My youngest sister will always be her baby. My oldest sister will always be her first born and I'll always
be the other one.
My oldest sister and my mom seem to clash a lot and my mom gets frustrated with her a lot but deep down, she still loves her. My parents in general sometimes have difficulty expressing their feelings but I know they love us. My father, I don't know who he loves more. I know he did NOT want my younger sister (my mom ignored him and kept her) so he probably doesn't care too much for her |

My mom tells me she loves both me and my brother a lot, but that with me the bond is special and much stronger.

I highly doubt a JJB mom will admit to it here, but judging by this thread it clearly happens.

I used to be convinced that my parents loved my siblings more than me. As I've gotten older, I just realized that they loved us differently. We are
individuals, and have to be treated as individuals; my parents were harder on me when it came to school, because even though I got decent grades most of the
time, a lot of the time I barely skated by just on intelligence and not on work. When I was more closely monitored in my schoolwork than my sister, I thought
it was unfair; now I realize they did it to help me be successful because that was what I needed at the time.

My mom will never in a million years admit it, but she definitely favors some of her kids over others. Especially one of my sisters.
As for me, I love both my little boys equally and when I was pregnant with my second one I was worried because I didn't think I could love anyone more than my oldest son, but it's definitely equal now. |

I think my parents do. I don't think ALL parents do though. In my family, my parents are much closer with me than my siblings but I'm also the baby and
the only one left in the "nest". So I'm sure that has something to do with it.

Chickhottie09091 wrote: This statement sort of relates to me. I believe my mom loves my sister and I equally. However, her and I are ALOT closer than she is with my sister. We have this strong bond because it was just the 2 of us for a large portion of my life. My sister moved out and got married at 16 (she's 5 years older than me) and I stayed at home until I was 22 years old. |
