I can understand being ticked off, but well, shit happens. I'm sure the friend is absolutely pissed at her employer, too, since she's the one being
forced to stay home and work instead of going to Europe. I feel more sympathy for the friend, at this point, since she probably had non-refundable tickets. She
probably got told that if she didn't stay and work, she wouldn't have a job to come back to.

Ok, I guess I should of mention this earlier but her mom works for a major U.S. airline and she was going to buy her ticket this week or next week using her
mom's discount. So she really isn't losing anything.

Yea, I talked to my roommate (who is also friends with her) and she said that I should just go. Hey, I moved to NYC by myself, I certainly could get through
this trip by myself.
