I hated being a hostess because of booths

Booth, as long as they are roomy enough. I'm not a big girl at all and yet some booths seem so closed in.

It's not okay to politely ask when I approach the hostess stand?

That's better than asking to be moved. But it's slightly annoying because then it messes up your rotation of the servers. Some servers have 5 tables
while some have none

Oh yeah I get that. I'm sorry!
I hate when I see other people approaching a table and they give it a disgusted look and say "can we sit THERE" and point to a booth. Then the hostess is put on the spot and I'd never do that! |

Maybe that's what I associate it with... the rude people who are insulted that I dare sit them at a table and not a booth. Like, who do I think they are?!

I chose to stand because it honestly doesn't matter to me. When I go to restaurants, I go for the food, not the furniture.

Also I'm a leaner, I don't usually sit up straight and because of that I always feel like my chair is sliding or the table is sliding and with a booth everything is bolted down |

JustinRandy131 wrote:I think 90% of the time when I go out, I've always been asked by the hostess if I preferred a table or a booth and I opt for the booth. If that question is not asked, I always inquire if a booth is okay, if not, a table is fine and I've been told a booth is fine or I've been told a table is the only option and been okay. So is it bad etiquette to ask for a booth? |

Table. I'm paranoid that booths have roaches, or even worse, rats hidden under there.
