It's not a big deal because of how he sounded, it's because of how he performed it. You can't take your eyes off of him. Like someone said
above....he stopped being the kid from the Jacksons and became Michael Jackson.
No one had ever seen anything like the moonwalk at that time....it's awesome. |

His performances were so intense...and emotional.? I get exhausted watching them.

MJ never claimed to be something he's not. And when he did sing live, he still sounded the same. It wasn't like he sounded totally different like
singers today.
