Castor oil didn't do anything and I tried it with two pregnancies. Walking and sex were the best helpers.

I definitely wouldn't get induced unless you have to or are really at the end of your rope. It's going to make the contractions come hard and fast!
(Although I'm sure they've told you that already.) You still have four days, you can get a lot of walking in.
I don't know if you see a chiropractor, but my college roommate went when she was a few days overdue, and went into labor pretty much right after her adjustment. |

Ooh good idea about the chiropractor! Yeah my boyfriend is very good about giving me tons and tons of massages. I might try getting a pedicure. I don't
want to get induced because there has been a few things along the way that make me think he needs more cooking, I want him to just come naturally.

I was induced and not only are the contractions worse but I was on my back in a bed the whole time. Not ever again!

UGH! I really don't want to be induced, but my doctor keeps suggesting it. I don't have to unless its medically necessary obviously right? I think I
will just wait. How does labor start? What does the pains feel like?

It feels like a clamp is tightening around your uterus. If they do a pitocin start, then they will give you an IV with the pit dripping slowly through and
slowly increasing the dosage. They will have you laying in the bad with a monitor around your stomach to monitor not only the contractions but the baby's
heartbeat. The labor didn't really start progressing though till they broke my water. Then it was like BAM, here comes baby!

I was in labor for a week before my due date. My water broke the evening before my son was due, but I didn't go into the hospital until the next evening,
had a fever & had to have pitocin, then a csection (you dont want one of those!). The contractions hurt. I was crawling on the floor thinking I might die
for days!
What really helped the pain was when my hubb pressed both palms against my lower back. Hoping your labor/delivery is as quick and painless as possible! |

Oh jesus! I think I want it to be a surprise like whoa honey it's time. My boyfriend packed my bag, I saw his checklist - he's so cute. We are so ready
but this little guy isn't.
