I'm Melanie. I'm going to be your afternoon nurse today." said Melanie "Hey." Said Julie "How are you feeling?" asked Melanie "Good. I had very few little pains." Said Julie "Good. Well, Dr Adams wanted me to examine you and then start monitoring your contractions." Said Melanie "Okay." Said Julie "He did say that Dr Cooper is on his way." Said Melanie "Good. He is my doctor. Not that I don't trust Dr Adams." Said Julie "I understand. Now, are these guys going to watch?" asked Melanie "Hell no." said Chris "Turn your backs." Said JC "Okay. Spread your legs a little for me." said Melanie as she lifted the sheets and gown up "Dude, this would be hot, if it wasn't Julie." Said Chris "Shut up." Said Lance "Do you feel my hand, Julie?" asked Melanie "Yeah." Said Julie "Dude." Said Chris "Shut up." Said Joey "I take it that he is the trouble maker of the group." Said Melanie taking off her gloves "Yes he is." Said Julie "How is she doing?" asked JC "Well, she is about two centimeters which is good for first time babies." Said Melanie "Okay." Said JC "Okay. I'm going to put this towel over you." Said Melanie "Okay." Said Julie "I'm going to strap this onto your stomach. Every time you have a contraction, it will do a print out onto that machine. Mom, if you would hold up your gown and Dad, if you hold this on her stomach please." Said Melanie "Sure." Said JC "There you go." Said Melanie "Am I going to be able to get up and move?" asked Julie "Sure you are. Just unbuckle this like a seat belt and make sure you have the IV pole with you." Said Melanie "Okay." Said Julie "Is she going to be able to eat lunch?" asked Justin "No. I'm afraid not." Said Melanie "Why not?" asked Julie "You might get sick." Said Melanie "I don't want to do that." Said Julie "I'll bring you some ice chips." Said Melanie "Okay. Thanks." Said Julie "I'll be back." Said Melanie "Thank you." Said Julie "I love you." Said JC "I love you." "Still have a headache?" asked JC "Yeah." Said Julie "Chris is being very quiet now." Said JC "Thank God." Said Julie "Back still hurt?" asked Lance "No. Thanks Lance." Said Julie "No problem. I'll just let you two have some privacy." Said Lance "Thanks Man." Said JC "I'm sorry that I'm being a pain." Said Julie "Baby, you can be a pain all you want. This is your day." Said JC "Yeah. Ooh!" said Julie "Okay. Breathe. Hee hee whoo whoo. Good." Said JC "Its hurts." Said Julie "I know, but you're doing so well." Said JC "Hey Julie. Josh." Said Dr Cooper walking in "Dr Cooper, you're here." Said Julie "Well, I had to see how my favorite patient was doing." Said Dr Cooper "I'm doing good." Said Julie "The nurse said you have been complaining about your back and head hurting." Said Dr Cooper "Yes it was." Said Julie "What about the headaches?" asked Dr Cooper "Hurts like hell." Said Julie "Well, we will see what we can do about that. Are you feeling sick to your stomach?" asked Dr Cooper putting on gloves "A little." Said Julie "Is all this normal?" asked JC "Yeah. Spread your legs a little." Said Dr Cooper "Okay." Said Julie "Well, you're making process. You're up to four." Said Dr Cooper "Is that good?" asked JC "Yeah." Said Dr Cooper "Good." Said JC "What can be done to make her as comfortable as possible?" asked Justin "Do you want an epidural?" asked Dr Cooper "No." said Julie "Well, we'll do everything we can for you." Said Dr Cooper "Thank you." Said JC "Call me if you need anything." Said Dr Cooper "We will. Thank you." Said JC "Thanks." Said Julie "Juls, what can I do?" asked Justin "Is Mama here?" asked Julie "I don't know." Said Justin "Can you please check?" asked Julie "Sure. Lonnie, who are the security guards out there?" asked Justin "Mike and Tiny." Said Lonnie "Okay. Does anything need anything?" asked Justin "Yeah. See is my parents out there." Said JC "Okay. Give them this note." Said Justin "Okay." Said Lonnie as Julie starts crying "What is it, Baby?" asked JC "I'm sorry all of you are stuck here." Said Julie "Julie, we don't mind one bit." Said Joey "We have been through all of your ups and downs this past year. Of course, we are going to be here for the birth." Said Chris "Chris is right for once. We wouldn't miss this for the world." Said Joey "Yeah. We all love you, Juls." Said Lance "Thanks Guys. This baby is going to be so lucky with four uncles." Said Julie "Hey. How is everything in here?" asked Melanie "Fine" said Julie "Does your head still hurt?" asked Melanie "Yeah. A little." Said Julie "What about the nausea?" asked Melanie "Not as much." Said Julie "Good. I think what we will do is put a warm cloth on your head and shut off the lights." Said Melanie "Okay." Said Julie "How are the contractions?" asked Melanie "All right. They are to hurt more." Said Julie "When was the last one?" asked Melanie "Right before Dr Cooper came in." said Julie "Good. You are coming right along." Said Melanie "What time do you think the baby will be born?" asked JC "Well, it could be tonight or in the morning." Said Melanie "Okay." Said JC "I'll be back with a warm towel." Said Melanie "Okay. Thank you." Said Julie "Hey. Turn it up, Chris." Said Justin "Okay." Said Chris "I'm John Norris from MTV standing outside New York Memorial Hospital waiting on news about the birth of JC Chasez's first child with his wife Julie Timberlake. We have received word that Julie went into labor this morning and her doctor has been flown in as well as JC and Julie's parents. We also have been told that the guys of NSYNC are with her now. Security is tight and no one can go onto the floor without a hospital photo ID. I'll have more details in the next hour. Stay tuned to MTV News. I'm John Norris." Said John "Wow." Said Chris "I guess that answers your question, Justin." Said Joey "Yeah it did, but I wonder why they cant come see us." Said Justin "I don't know." Said Julie holding her stomach in pain "Contraction?" asked JC "Uh huh." Said Julie breathing "Good. Do your breathing." Said JC "What can I do, Julie?" asked Justin "Hold my hand." Said Julie "I got it." Said Justin "This is a big one huh?" asked JC "Yeah." Said Julie "Just keep breathing, Baby. You're doing so good." Said JC "Its going down, Jul." said Joey "How do you know?" asked Chris "Shut up Chris." Said Lance "Its gone down." Said Joey "Thank God." Said Julie "Better now?" asked JC "Yeah." Said Julie "You are doing so well." Said JC "I couldn't do it without you." Said Julie R&R

"How are you doing?" asked Dr Cooper "All right." Said Julie "How is your head?" asked Dr Cooper "Much better. The lights being off helps a lot." Said Julie "Good." Said Dr Cooper putting on gloves "What about the nausea?" asked Melanie "Hardly any at all." Said Julie "Good." Said Melanie "Spread your legs." Said Dr Cooper "Okay." Said Julie "Okay. She is five centimeters, forty five percent effaced. Water bag is still full. I can feel the baby's head just a little." Said Dr Cooper as Melanie wrote it in her chart "Is that good? We been here since mid morning. Shouldn't she be pushing or something?" asked JC "Not necessarily, JC. These things take time. She is progressing slowly, but that is normal." Said Dr Cooper "What do you want to do?" asked Melanie "Well, since you cant walk in the hall, I want you to sway with JC." Said Dr Cooper "Okay. Will it help?" asked Julie "Yes. You should progress more." Said Dr Cooper "Okay." Said Julie "Infact it would help if someone puts pressure on her back." Said Dr Cooper "I'll do it." Said Justin "Okay. Lets take this off of you and have you get up gently." Said Dr Cooper "Come on, Baby." Said JC "I'll go get you a hot towel." Said Melanie "Thank you." Said Dr Cooper "Now what?" asked JC "I want you to lean against a wall and just hold Julie in your arms like you are slow dancing with her." Said Dr Cooper "Okay." Said JC "Are you comfortable?" asked Dr Cooper "Yeah." Said Julie laying her head on JC's shoulder. "Like this?" asked JC "Yeah. Just speak softly to her. Like you two are the only two in the room." Said Dr Cooper as Melanie came into the room carrying a towel "Okay. I want you to press this hard on the small of her back?" asked Melanie "Is it hot?" asked Justin "Not really." Said Melanie "Will I hurt her?" asked Justin "No. She might make sounds like you are hurting her, but you're not." Said Melanie "Okay." Said Justin "And if you get tired, I'm sure one of these guys will help you out and take over." Said Melanie "We will." Said Joey "Yeah." Said Lance "Are you going to be all right?" asked Melanie "Uh huh." Said Julie "We'll come back and check on you later." Said Melanie "Okay. Thank you." Said JC R&R

Said JC whipping away her tears "Everything hurts." Said Julie "I know, Baby. I'm sorry." Said JC "I want my mama." Said Julie crying "I know." Said JC "I don't know how much more I can take." Said Julie tensing up "Breathe Baby, You got to breathe for me." said JC "Hee hee whoo whoo." Said Julie "Good." Said JC whipping her forehead "Why don't you try getting some sleep?" asked Julie "I'm fine, Baby. Do you want me to rub your back or legs?" asked JC "Yeah. Legs." Said Julie "Okay." Said JC getting up "Well, this is going to be one exciting birth story to tell him or her." Said Julie "Yeah. I cant wait." Said JC starting to rub her legs "That feels good." Said Julie "Good." "You're doing so good." Said JC rubbing her back with one hand "Yeah, Julie you are." Said Justin "When was the last time a doctor or nurse came in here?" asked Joey "About five thirty. She was eight and not doing much with the contractions, but she is now." Said JC "Oh shit." Said Julie "What?" asked JC "I think my water just broke." Said Julie "Lonnie, tell them to get a doctor." Said Chris "I'm on it." Said Lonnie "What can we do, Julie?" asked Lance "I don't know." Said Julie "Julie, what do you need?" asked Dr Cooper walking in "I think my water broke." Said Julie "Okay. Lets see." Said Dr Cooper putting on a glove "Move Chris. Lets give them some space." Said Joey "Okay." Said Chris "Yes it did." Said Dr Cooper "About time." Said Julie "And your ten and the baby is almost dropped. I'm going to go get the nurse to get you and the room ready." Said Dr Cooper "Thank you." Said Julie "We are going to have our baby." Said JC "Yeah. I wish Mama and Karen could be in here." Said Julie "Me too." Said JC "I'm sure they understand that security is very tight right now." Said Justin "Well, Julie, are you ready?" asked Melanie as Kayla, her night nurse walked in "Melanie, what are you still doing here?" asked Julie "I couldn't go anywhere without seeing you through this." Said Melanie "Thanks for being here." Said Julie as the two nurses put the bed down and the stirrups up and also putting a blue tarp under the bed "Do you want these guys to be a part of the birth?" asked Melanie "I guess if they want." Said Julie "Well they can if they want." Said Melanie "What do you want us to do?" asked Lance "Well, you guys could stand here and hold her knees back if it is needed." Said Kayla "Okay." Said Justin "Well, I hope you got names ready, cause you are going to need them in a few minutes." Said Dr Cooper walking in "Yeah." Said Julie "Okay. Julie, I need you to push when I say so like you are having a bowel movement. The baby's head is starting to crown." Said Dr Cooper "Can I see?" asked JC "Sure." Said Dr Cooper "Is that hair?" asked JC "Yep." said Dr Cooper "On its head?" asked JC "Yep." said Dr Cooper "Wow, its got curly blonde hair." Said JC once again taking Julie's hand "Ready to get started, Julie?" asked Dr Cooper "Yeah." Said Julie "Okay. I want you to bare down and push for me." said Dr Cooper "Come on Baby." Said JC raising her back a little off the bed as Julie pushed "A little harder this time." Said Dr Cooper "Oh God." Said Julie as she pushed "Head is out." Said Dr Cooper "Wow." Said Chris "Lay back and relax, Julie." Said Dr Cooper "You are doing so good, Julie." Said Justin "I need to push." Said Julie "Okay. Lets work on getting the shoulders out. Push." Said Dr Cooper "Come on. You can do it." Said JC "We love you and are so proud of you." Said Joey "Yeah." Said Justin as Julie pushed "Okay. One more push. Give it all you got." Said Dr Cooper "I cant." Said Julie "Yes you can, Baby. You can do anything. I'm right here. I'm not going anywhere. I'm so proud of you for everything you did and being so strong. I love you." Said JC "I love you." Said Julie as she pushed. "It's a boy." Said Dr Cooper "A boy. We have a boy." Said JC "Yeah." Said Julie laying back "You did it, Baby. You did it." Said JC kissing her as tears rolled down his cheeks "I love you." Said Julie "I love you too." Said JC "Here is your son." Said Dr Cooper laying him on her stomach "Oh my God. He's so beautiful." Said Julie sniffing "Yes he is, just like her mother." Said JC "He looks like you and Justin." Said Joey "Yes he does." Said Justin "That's gross." Said Chris "Shut up." Said Joey "What are you going to call him?" asked Lance "What do you think?" asked Julie "What about that name we talked about?" asked JC "Yeah. I don't want to change it again." Said Julie "Okay. I'm happy to report that the newest member of NSYNC has been born. Randy Joshua Chasez weighed in at six pounds and eight ounces. He was born at six thirty eight this morning. Both parents and son are doing well. I was told that Julie did have a long and differcult labor. JC and the guys of NSYNC stayed by her side the entire time.
