Do you ever really hate attending bridal showers, weddings, etc? I mean - I happy for my friends/family of course, but at the same time it just reminds me that
I'm single and that bums me out.

I think it's worse now since I'm pretty much the only one who is still single. Everyone else is attached somehow.

I don't get upset at the showers. I do get a slight twinge of jealousy every time one of my friends gets a ring. I've had quite a few people get
engaged and married recently. I'm still happy for my friends even though I wonder when my time will come.

Usually it wouldn't bother me... I guess cause I'm getting older plus I recently broke up with my bf so I'm an emotional wreck
... I'm supposed to go to a wedding in two weeks and I'm trying to get
out of going... I'm just not in the mood for all the lovey dovey shit...

I'm happy for them, definitely. It just makes me wonder when I'll find my someone special.

And yes, I like attending because I usually have a blast with my friends dancing and talking over dinner/drinks.
But in the back of my mind is always, "When will it be my turn?" |

I don't want to get married or have kids, but I can't stand going to weddings and showers. I go though because my friends deserve to have me there.

I'm not a huge fan of it, and I'm not single...I'm in a relationship, but I'll admit, it's jealousy, pure and simple. I look at those
events and think, "Why isn't it me?"

Don't get so worked up, half of them will be divorced in a bit anyway.

I'm not single, but I'm not married. I just went on Facebook and there are about a thousand different mentions of bachelorette parties for people my
age and I'm just like GAHHHH!!!!! It makes me jealous. I don't really mind going to these things if they are more party oriented and not just formal
and stuffy.

I only hate attending weddings and stuff when its obvious my friends are trying to hook me up with someone there. Otherwise Im having a good time.

For me it was way worse when I was in a relationship for 4 years and all of my friends were getting engaged/married and I got nothing. Like when I was single I
knew I wasn't even close.
