I really hope that is a rumor! |

Nothing anyone does tonight or anytime after this will ever come close to being as good as the original. I'm torn between wanting to see what everyone does
and knowing that most likely they're just going to come across as second rate imitations. Michael had something that could not ever be reproduced. Michael
Jackson is just untouchable.

Wow. MJ was a victim of abuse. Chris, an abuser. Chris paying tribute to MJ? Yeah, no.
Idgaf if Chris can dance well, he's not the only one (despite many people desperately thinking he is).

sheSaidHeSaid wrote: Chris needs to be there bottom line. He's one of the best performers out who can do a decent MJ tribute. People keep saying to stop focusing on Mike's negative personal life and celebrate his music, so for tonight the same should happen for Chris. A guy who can clearly pay a damn good tribute to Mike. Unless everyone is a hypocrite of course |

Chris IS the only one who could do MJ true justice tonight.
But you would think becoming a felon a less than a week ago would give people pause to having him on national TV be broadcast into peoples living rooms. I agree it sends a horrific message to young boys out there. I used to wonder why domestic violence was such a huge problem in this country...but after seeing the way this case has been viewed/the victim has been treated, I am no longer surprised. |

If you keep him, people are pissed.
If you leave him out, people are pissed. What will BET really do? |

I just don't think it would be cool to have Chris perform. No matter how well of a performer he is. I can't speak for what Michael would have wanted. I
just know that I would not have wanted a convicted felon who almost killed his girlfriend to pay tribute to me. Having him up there to me looks like BET is
condoning what he did. It is like they are telling their audience that they have no problem with what he did. I agree with those who are saying they don't
want to see him getting applause like all is forgiven. He has done nothing to get forgiveness at this point.

I HOPE TO GOD THEY STAND FIRM AND SEND THE RIGHT MESSAGE. Although I doubt they will. Oh and as for it meaning "the world to him" he should have thought about that when he was choking someone until they couldn't breath. |
