I didn't even know what to say. I just said that I hoped she was kidding, otherwise that was sad. I also said that we are not and nowhere near heading
towards that and to get real. And that's it
I don't know what to even say to her. She even had crap hinting towards Obama being born outside the
US and he's an illegal president. I'm just beyond, I don't even know what.
And her parents are teaching her that God is everything, evolution is fake, Republican is the way to be and money is more important than everything else in the world. |

What kind of response would you give to someone who said that? Especially someone who was 15 years old. I want to say something but I don't know how to go

Ha. I remember one of my history teachers from HS gave us a packet with cartoon strips depicting each type of government and economic system. It was an obvious
"How can we reach even the densest of students?" ploy. And it worked!
Maybe she--and her parents--could use one of those. *nods*

The only thing I'm worried about is that I'm talking to a brick wall. That's what it is like talking to her parents, they are just out there in
lala land and everything goes in one ear out the other. But I mean, she's only 15, to be thinking like this is just kind of sad but at the same time I
remember being 15 and being influenced by my mom and her thinkings so I am 100% sure it is because of the environment she's growing up in. I'm hoping
and praying that when she gets older, she starts thinking for herself and forms opinions based off more than what her mom and dad said growing up. But I'm
just trying to think of a comeback in case she does respond that maybe would make impact on her.

Her parents are probably saying he has socialist ideas and they're stupid enough to not know the difference between socialism and communism. I won't
even address the socialist thing...that's a separate issue, but I'm guessing that's how the conversations went at home.
