I found out Friday that I needed to finish my pregnancy on bed rest because of cervical effacement. Just started on Friday and I am already going CRAZY! Any
tips from other JJB moms?

Good luck to you. How much longer do you have to go?

When is your due date? Just wondering if this bed rest is for a few days, weeks, or months because the suggestions on how to handle it would differ.

I freaking have been on bed rest for A MONTH!!! It sucks, royally, because everyone is at work. Its not because of cervical effacement, in fact, I'm closed
up like Fort Knox. So I don't technically have to be IN BED but it's equally awful in my opinion. People just keep giving me movies and magazines haha

In my next pregnancy, we're looking at surgery to do a cerclage at 12 weeks and possibly bedrest from then on....bedrest is NO fun but the end result is
worth every minute!! I did ALOT of television and internet my first time around-it sucks but it ends up being worth it. It could be worse, if your situation
gets worse, you COULD end up in the hospital on strict bedrest with no bathroom priv which means the lovely foley
. I remember I couldn't WAIT for bathroom and bath time-it was the only time
I could get out of the bed

Aww
I'm sorry you have to do that! It doesn't sound fun. But MorganC is right, it will be worth it! BABY!

I have about 6 weeks to go .... hopefully! I just ordered some books off of Amazon and loaded up my Netflix cart! I have another week of work I can do from
home so that will help make the days go faster!

My coworker has been on bed rest since May, she's not going to have her c-section until mid-July!

Wow! Is she still on track to deliver in mid-July? My doctor told me I will most likely go early but the baby looks healthy.

I was put on bedrest at the end of my last pregnancy because of hypertension. My husband bought me a laptop and I came back to JJB after being MIA for a few
years. I also bought the full versions of bejeweled and chuzzle and was kick ass at them both. LOL
