I think Elvis has a pretty large fanbase that runs across multiple age demographics, and the Beatles too. That's about it though. MJ, Elvis, and The
Beatles.

Madonna is huge, but I don't think she ever touched so many people the way MJ did.
But yeah, I agree with the OP, I've never seen another artist really impact peoples lives the way he did. I am a huge fan, but when you see men and women crying over the man like in some videos Ive seen of his concerts and more recently his death, I just can't think of any other artist who has that affect on people. |

Also, when it comes to Michael, I think he touched base of having huge amounts of fans with every demographic, young,old,women,men,and all kinds of different
races and he was truly a global/international superstar. His music transcended generations and crossed all boundaries.

I actually had this conversation with a friend the other day. I agree somewhat with him. He said that the only living person that would have anything even
semi-close to MJ reaction wise would probably be the other MJ, Michael Jordan. Other than him though, nobody else would even measure in terms of magnitude.

is around? Does he cause huge crowds wherever he goes? I'm asking because I don't follow him and really don't know, but I never thought he did?

People camp out for his shoes. Sports aren't as huge as music which is why I know he couldn't be anywhere near Jackson, but you'd be surprised how
big he is worldwide.
