Is it worth going to LA for vacation for a weekend or should the trip be longer? I'm a new yorker & never been to the west coast before so I don't
know what to expect. And I don't want to miss out on anything because the trip might be too short. And are there any fun things I should do over there?

Wow, I wouldn't fly that far for 2 days. But, the spontaneousness of it and the thrill might be worth it. I just don't see how you'll squeeze much
of anything into 2 days.

Whoa, I don't think it would be worth it at all if you're driving all the way from New York and actually want to see something in California, but only
have a weekend. If you love roadtrips for the adventure, it would be fun but the amount you'd spend on gas would likely make it not worth the expense.
You'd probably have only a few hours actually in LA before you'd have to drive back.

No there will be no driving we will be flying, I couldn't sit in a car for that long.

Yeah, it's worth it. Just make sure you hit the Hollywood scene, walk down Suset, shop Robertson/Rodeo and hit up Santa Monica. I live in Phoenix, and I
did a 2 day stint there and it was great. Packed, exhausting, but great.

I don't know if I'd fly across the country for two days. If you were on this half of the country I'd say yes, but it's such a long flight, plus
the time change. It kind of makes my head hurt to think about it.

I don't have a problem being on the airplane for a long flight, I've been to south america many times with no problem. I just want to know if 3 or 4
days is enough time to experience LA.

Is it worth going to LA for vacation for a weekend or should the trip be longer? That's what we were answering. I didn't know that you wanted to know if four days was acceptable. I pictured you flying in on a Friday night and then leaving on a Sunday afternoon. |

A week in LA is plenty for me. I like Northern Cali more.

Well we're looking into an early thurs flight and afternoon flight on sun. We plan on shopping, going to the beach, hitting up some famous places, going to
bars/lounges and of course hoping we run into celebrities

I've been to LA tons of times and I've seen:
1. Ed McMahon 2. Jason Lee 3. Ice-T & CoCo. And I've already seen them HERE because they live in Arizona in the summer. |

No celebs at all? I plan on going to most of the celeb hot spots, like the ivy and kitson.

Oh and I saw numbers 2 and 3 at the Beverly Center.
Ed McMahon was years ago on Rodeo Drive. |
