Guess we'll know for sure when we get an autopsy report.

I don't really know why the media made such a big deal out of this. And the sad part was....most people STILL believe he bleached his skin even though it
was proven he did have vitiligo.
It was just like they found out something abnormal about him and just decided to make up out of this world stories because they'd fly due to how odd he was. It seems like people believed anything when it came to him. And then when stories were disproven it was little more than a blurb on the last page of a newspaper. |

All I've ever heard was how he didn't really have vitiligo and was just a freak. Poor man.

I have vitiligo and I'm caucasian. It's not pretty and it does have an affect on your confidence. I can only imagine how it affected somebody of a
darker skin tone who was famous all over the world. I don't think people understand how much pressure and stress he was constantly under.

I'd imagine bleeding, peeling red patches of skin are much scarier than pigment issues. Growing up with something like that makes you forget it even exists, if that makes sense. |

^At the point all of this started happening, Michael didn't have kids, so I think she was talking about his fans.

It makes me sad to know that he had so many issues and everybody just thought he was a crazy freak. He was so talented and tortured at the same time.
How long have those pictures been around? The facts have been stated, but people chose not to believe them. It makes me feel depressed just thinking about taking all of that on. |

Desiree Simmons suffers from vitiligo, which caused her skin to lighten. She is seen here in pre-kindergarten (left), third grade (center) and eighth grade (right). Here's the story that goes along with the picture. Vitiligo can depigment the entire body like the girl in the above picture. Although rare, it's a far more plausible explanation than skin bleach IMO. MJ also had lupus and vitiligo is associated with autoimmune diseases. |

He said in an Oprah interview that he used heavy amts. of make-up to cover up what the disease was doing to his skin.
There's an appearance I think Disneyland or world where you can see it as well. |

With this pic I can see why he had that glittered glove on his right hand for a while and why he always had taped covering his fingernails too.
