No. He was rich and awkward, with a fascination for children only because I believe he didn't have much of a childhood. His weaknesses were easy targets
unfortunately.

I agree with the person who said he would have rather hurt himself before hurting any child. I read in one of his interviews about it that he would rather
slit his wrists than ever harm a child in any way. I believe him.
I also agree with Ari that he sometimes juggled his adult life with his yearning to be have the childhood he never had. |

I think it's easy to say yes or no when you weren't there. He might've done it or it could be complete bullshit. I can't remember who said it,
but someone in another post said that it's between Michael & God now. And I agree with that.

Nope. And the fact that parents still had no qualms about leaving their children with Michael after the first time furthers my belief.

I'm definitely freaked out by them, that's for sure. I still don't know what to think, but I really hope that they were all lies.

I think Michael was his own worst enemy. And in his extreme wish to be understood and accepted, he said WAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY too much. I think the parents
of both boys saw an easy target and a way to make a buck and carted their children out in the hopes something would transpire. I don't think it went as far
as anything sexual or abuse in any way....but there were inappropriate situations children should not be a party to. However, because his intentions were
always good he didn't see how his actions could be deemed inappropriate.
And because of his reclusive and ODD behavior, people were left to make their assumptions. Sad thing is....this only served to make him even more odd and reclusive to most people. |

I think it's easy to say yes or no when you weren't there. Why is it that I only read that excuse or something similar is always thrown around when a celeb is involved? If his strange and quite frankly pedophile like behavior were to be shown by some average joe, that shit would not fly. But of course he gave us Thriller, so I guess we have to have witnesses or better yet a tape maybe? Oh wait, that happened with R Kelly and that fucker still got acquitted. I think people are seriously just blinded by celebrity.

jawnyquest wrote: I kind of feel the same in that how could you deem someone who was otherwise a saint, guilty without knowing for sure? I could understand if both allegations he was found guilty and sent to prison. I just couldn't say it with such utter confidence as some in here are and not feel an ounce of guilt themselves. |

Whatever. Him sleeping with random children and having sleepovers is weird behavior. It's not a big jump to think something could have happened there.

Honestly, no I didn't. Do I think some things were inappropriate in the sense that he's an adult and these were children? Yes. A grown man should not be sleeping in the same bed as other peoples' children. But I never believed he actually molested anyone. It always felt to me that MJ was living the childhood that he never had. So to him, in his mind, they were sleepovers like children would have. I don't think he saw it as strange or inappropriate while we as adults realize it is. |

adri028456 wrote: To think just because someone is a celebrity with money he must be guilty is just as bad. I think it's because most average Joes haven't been in the public eye while you get to see every single thing they do and who they are as people. We lived MJ for years and how wonderful he was as a musician and humanitarian. Did we see that with R Kelly? We saw his personality and we adored him. There was no reason not to adore him, he was that good of a person. There was never enough proof to accuse of him guilt, and he wasn't your average Joe in more ways than just his fame. I would think most people would give him and all he was otherwise the benefit of the doubt while taking into account how troubled he was and how much he yearned to have a childhood. |
