Do you think that Neverland is going to become the Mecca of all Michael fans?? It would be incredibly fitting. I'd go and visit, for sure.

Ooh fun! It really does look like playland.

I don't think anything else could be more fitting. It was synonymous with him. And to see it restored to it's peak condition would be somewhat of a
resolution maybe.

It would be a good way to bring his estate back into the black. Worked for Elvis.

I thought he actually lost the property due to non-payment of taxes and that it's fallen into disrepair.

Isn't the property kind of a shithole now? Who is going to be able to foot the bill to fix it all up even if they did want to do that?

Not sure. But with the amount of fans and the amount of support I bet the Jackson's can garner, I wouldn't be surprised to see it happen. Even
celebrites seem to be shaken to the core. The Elizabeth Taylors and Quincy Jones' of the world may step up to offer such a memorial.

As I understand it, the guy who underwrote his tour would have got Neverland as part of the deal if it all went south, so I guess it'll be his now... and
given it's such prime real estate (not the ranch itself, the land) I think it'll boil down to whether he thinks he can make more money turning it into
a Graceland or scrapping it and putting up something else

Turn it into a theme park - I'll go.

I thought Neverland had already been seized or foreclosed upon??? At any rate, that's what NEEDS to be done with it. And I'll be there...

Some private investor hatched a deal with Michael to save it at the last minute

That would be amazing but wasn't it Priscilla Presley who made Graceland what it is? I don't think Michael had anyone like that in his life.

Neverland could never be like Graceland. That is an insult to Elvis.

twilightschild wrote:Yep! That was all "Cilla"! Prety amazing what she did there. Between the deal he made to keep Neverland, the debt he is in and his family turmoil I don't see it happening. It would be nice though. He deserves a fine tribute. |

superwoman22 wrote:Why is that an insult to Elvis?? As an artist, I believe that Michael Jackson did more in definining and leading the future of music for generations to come. I love Elvis as well, but when it comes to firsts and talent, Jackson leads that race. I think that Elvis, musically, would feel privileged to be in the same company as MJ, and vice versa. |
