I liked Nancy Grace's comment last night. She had MJ's Lawyer on and he thanked her for having him on because of how much they disagreed during the
trial and she said," I know everyone had their own opinions about his innocence but that's over now, now it's between him and God."
That is so true!! The focus should be on the positive. |

In AMNewYork this morning (a free nyc newspaper), they had a MJ timeline but after 1987, all they listed were the scandals that followed him. I was so angry
reading that. Yeah, that was part of his life but what about all the accomplishments?? :mad

John Mayer is redeeming himself for a day or two with all the things he twittered last night. Like this:
"If twitter were a house we all lived in, we'd totally be meeting in the kitchen because we can't sleep. We'd have a great talk about life." I was touched by that for some reason. I guess I'm not the only one who couldn't fall asleep. Needed a few beers to even think about it. |

Did anyone read how Perez Hilton reacted? I picked this up from WWTDD:
"This was his first post when the story broke: "We knew something like this would happen!! Michael Jackson was taken by ambulance from his Holmby Hills home to a nearby Los Angeles hospital on Thursday afternoon!! Supposedly, the singer went into cardiac arrest and the paramedics had to administer CPR!!! His mother is even on the way to visit him!!! We are dubious!! Jacko pulled a similar stunt when he was getting ready for his big HBO special in '95 when he "collapsed" at rehearsal! He was dragging his heels on that just like his upcoming 50 date London residency at the 02 Arena, of which he already postponed the first few dates!!! Either he's lying or making himself sick, but we're curious to see if he's able to go on!!! Get your money back, ticket holders!!!!" " I stopped visiting his site a year ago, and nothing I have read this week has made me want to go back. He is despicable.

People take Perez too seriously. He is a celebrity/tabloid BLOGGER. He's not fucking CNN. People on JJB were saying the same thing, already, when they
first heard. Go look back at some of the posts.

Michael Jackson's meeting with the Gipper
Photo Source: National Archives/Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Library. WASHINGTON (CNN) - It was one of the most fascinating White House photo ops since President Richard Nixon met Elvis. At a White House ceremony on May 14, 1984, President Ronald Reagan awarded Michael Jackson with the Presidential Public Safety Communication Award for allowing the song "Beat It" to be used in a public service campaign against teen drinking and driving. Reagan's comments that day were peppered with Michael Jackson song references: "Well, isn't this a thriller? . . . I know why you're here, and with good reason - to see one of the most talented, most popular, and most exciting superstars in the music world today - Michael Jackson. And Michael, welcome to the White House," said Reagan. "I hope you'll forgive me, but we have quite a few young folks in the White House who all wanted me to give you the same message. They said to tell Michael, 'Please give some TLC to the PYTs.' Now I know that sounds a little 'off the wall,' but you know what I mean. And, Michael, I have another message from our fans in the Washington, D.C., area. They said, 'we want you back.' So when you begin your greatly awaited cross-country tour, will you please be sure to drop off here in the Nation's capital?" Later in his remarks, Reagan said, "Michael Jackson is proof of what a person can accomplish through a lifestyle free of alcohol or drug abuse. People young and old can respect that. And if Americans follow his example, then we can face up to the problem of drinking and driving, and we can, in Michael's words, beat it." Jackson spoke a total of 13 words at the event: "I'm very, very honored. Thank you very much, Mr. President and Mrs. Reagan." http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2009/06/26/when-jackson-met-reagan/ |

this is seriously one of the most unbelievable events to occur in my life. i hate to say something as cliché as this, but Michael Jackson's music was the
soundtrack of my life. i remember listening to my thriller album with these ginourmous headphones for hours and hours until my parents made me go to sleep. and
i will never forgot the day after the thriller video premiered on mtv how all the kids at school were trying to learn the moves at the bus stop before school.
off the wall in my opinion is the greatest album ever made will never leave my cd changer again. RIP Michael… I will miss you so much, I pray that your transition from this life to next brings you the peace you were never able to find here with us. |
