Per Geraldo, there's a report that this is due to pills. Also Michael hadn't hired any dancers, choreographers, management, etc. for the upcoming tour
so he wasn't in shape to go on tour.

Jackson was the seventh of nine children in a well-known musical family. That is what makes me think that he has died. CNN is talking about him in the past tense.
