Otherwise you'll be disappointed. It's funny because I got it for the Apps but I hardly ever use them (well except for Tetris and sometimes Notes). Now I alternate at work between listening to my iPod Touch and my 80GB video iPod. |

How much is the Touch now anyway? Is it cheaper than the IPhone? How much is the service for the IPhone. I'm thinking of switching to AT&T to get the
IPhone when my contract expires.

I'm waiting till September until I hear from Apple whether a new generation itouch is coming. Unlike like last time I bought a ipod video and a month later
the itouch comes out!

So is the iPod Touch just an iPhone without phone capability?
I need to be able to access personal email from work (since sites like Yahoo.com are blocked on my work computer). If I get iPod Touch, will I be able to access my Yahoo mail account? As far as the WIFI goes, do I have to pay/subscribe for that or is it basically using whatever wireless networks exist wherever I'm at? |

If your office has wireless internet, then you should be able to access the internet as long as it's not blocked to computers not already on the network. |

Wait, you have to pay to use the internet at Starbucks? Hmm, I didn't know that. I've never used internet there.

I didn't realize until this weekend, that you can still download apps on the touch. Pretty awesome. (And now the plug - check out my app, the Howcast for
iPhone app under the lifestyles category

My job doesn't offer wireless internet within the building. So would I not be able to access the internet?
And do you have to pay a monthly fee for internet access with an iPod touch? |

syncdafied wrote: Nope. It connects to the internet through a pre-existing wireless modem. So if you have one or there's one around, it'll just pick that signal up. |
