Like, I'm in charge of the facebook at work, I got an internship because of my facebook and twitter skills, and now a salon wants me to do their facebook
and twitter and I'm getting free hair styling for it.

I don't fuckin know. I just say I know how to use it and people over the age of 30 go ape shit.
I mean, for my job, yes, I know why I'm the one doing it, because its free marketing and they only pay me $9 an hour to do everything I do there. But the internship is with a production company and I got to edit video last week, but they solely gave me the job because I know how to use twitter and facebook. They're free marketing tools, and its not just setting them up, but getting fans and followers and updating on a regular basis. |

Now I'm imagining my work--a daycare--having a twitter.
"We've only had 15 accident reports today. Good going, everyone!" "Johnny went potty on the toilet today! Congratulations!" "Room 4 kids all are napping peacefully...WOO!" We should do it. |

But like, I have channels that I manage and we're always trying to get new people through the door and through our classes. And at the production company we have a documentary to Promote.. the salon they could use it to get more customers in when they have openings. |

No, that makes sense. Facebook and Twitter are great free promotional tools!
But now I really want to (jokingly) encourage my assistant director to make a twitter for the parents. If only we could air to the world half the crap our crazy kids do... |

I've heard of some teachers using Twitter/Facebook to keep parents updated on class activities and such.
Kids always respond to the "What did you do in school today" question by saying "I don't know" or "nothing" so this is a way for teachers to help parent/child dialog. |
