I remember hearing abut the Native American heritage, but I wish I could remember the details. Wasn't it from his father's side, the Timberlake side?
And I think it goes back to the 1600s or 1700s or so
Especially after seeing him as "Cornelius Timberlake" on SNL, though, he looks 100% Scottish/Irish or English to me

Yeah, he said a little while ago that they did his family history and found out that a soldier from England or someplace, decided to sort of go AWOL and stay
in America because he fell in love with a Native American girl. Remember? That's how his dad's side of the family ended up in America, I guess.
It's all sweet and romantic. 
That must be why he can get so mushy sometimes.
