lol at the people saying if it were anyone besides Chris Brown, they would have gone to jail. It's obvious those people know nothing about the law. That
statement couldn't be anymore false. He was a 1st time offender and even though he didn't get jail, he got a lot of shit handed to him (long formal
probation, classes, community service, etc).
For the most part I think celebrities these days get it worse than "regular" people. Look at Paris Hilton for example. A regular person would absolutely have not got 20+ days in jail for a dui probation violation. Same with Keifer Sutherland...he did how many days for his 2nd dui? LA jails are over crowded to the extreme...judges barely sentence jail time any more these days. Does that mean these people shouldn't go to jail? No, I think they should...but the whole regular people vs. celebrity bit is old and the people talking about it are slightly uneducated on the matter. I think some people on here need a dose of reality... |
