This is the SECOND time in less than 6 months that I've gotten my phone wet (this time my pop bottle leaked throughout my entire purse). I'm REALLY REALLY hoping that this will work.
I've had it in rice since 12:45

I've heard this before but I really don't know. I'd leave it in for like a day at least.

With it being a sugared drink it might not work. When I got my old phone wet with water I put it in rice to let it dry for a whole day and it worked again.
When I dropped that same phone in apple juice the sugar ruined it. I left it in the rice for a week hoping it would help, but it didn't.

Someone on here told me about it last time I dropped my phone in water, but I didn't have any rice at the time (and I think I was too late to do it) and
then one of my friends at work told me that her in-laws did it and their phone was like new.
I think I'm going to leave it in as long as I can, I just need to resist the urge to take it out. |

Hopefully it won't be the case with you! I'd leave it for a full 24 hours at least. The majority of what I read seemed to agree on a whole day.

I watched a video on a site I found while searching. I think the longer the better.
why not look for an older cheap phone on ebay or something? I might if I can't get it to work. I just got my phone in April, and that's what bothers me. I dropped my last phone in the toilet at Christmas and I dealt with that phone until April until I couldn't take it anymore. Maybe this is a sign that I shouldn't drink pop anymore. |
