I got a pair of Keens a month or so ago and I love them. But yeah, I don't bust out 4 miles on any brand new pair of shoes.

Yeah they have been broken in. I got them a year ago for a waitress job I had and put them away when I got fired lol. I started wearing them again and ouch do
they hurt.
Oh and no I'm not the "real" river phoenix |

The best shoe is the one that fits your foot/gait the best. Here's a place to start. In a pinch, you can try hot glueing moleskin in your shoes to prevent blisters. I did that with an old pair of running shoes and it worked very well. It also ripped off without causing damage to the shoe when it needed replacing. YMMV. You can find moleskin in the footcare area of any drugstore. |

LOL...!
I think any pair of Sketchers will do the job. They are just so comfy! |

A good shoe is one that matches your foot shape (high arches, low arches) and the way you walk (heel-first, toe-first, mid-foot).
A perfect shoe for me won't necessarily be a good shoe for you. You should go to a running store if you have one near you. They'll look at your foot, watch the way you walk, and pick out a good shoe for you. |

Depending on where the blisters are...it could be the socks also. They may be too thick or thin.

My blisters are on my pinky toes and the toe third from my big toe ( I don't know the names to my toes lol)

My pinky toes get blisters too, those are from my socks I have found and how it rubs when my foot sweats.

groovydee4 wrote:Agree! I went to a running store and they were super super helpful. I ended up getting a pair of Brooks, but he had me try on some New Balance as well. They also gave me orthopaedics to put in my shoe that help on top of how the shoe is designed. I said it the other day in another shoe/running thread and I'll always say it. It's worth the money to invest in good shoes! Much cheaper than dr's visits and the annoyance of hurt feet or whatever. |

I put one of those mold supports in my shoes (they are 4 bucks at Walmart) and I use thin socks.

I also walk a little on the odd side to. I had an injury to my knee playing softball when I was 12 and had to wear a brace on my leg for six weeks. Since then
I walk with my feet out which kind of hurts when I climb up stairs.
