I hear people on TV and movies say y'all who are not from the south so I think it's becoming more acceptable throughout the US.

i have been in the south now for 5 years, that is one thing i swore i will NEVER say. i do order sweet tea continuously though haha

I've said "Y'all" even before moving to TN 8 years ago. My mom is originally from Kentucky so I got it from her
