I don't know if I should get the book, or if I should wait for the movie so that I don't spoil the end for myself before I see it. What do you guys
think?

Well it's possible that they'll change the ending anyways, as most movies do. Read the book first, the book is always better than the movie. I've
read the book and remember loving it, I don't remember the ending so I can't tell you if it's something that's likely to be changed or not.

I have read the book 6 times now. I am a wreck each time. It is just amazing. I can't wait for the film as Rachel is my girl!

I'm only in the first chapter but I am so confused about the past/present thing. If he doesn't know Clare til the future, how does SHE know him in his
current state? And how is he giving a tour to his 5 year old self? WTF is happening?

I think you should watch the movie before you read the book. With me, if I read the book before the movie then I expect them to show certain aspects and I
don't like it when they switch something that in my opinion should not be switched.
I know that with books-to-movies they will inevitably switch something for dramatic/cinematic purposes and that's fine, I just don't like it, especially when i like the book and the movie ends up sucking, i get disappointed. I'd rather go into a movie not expecting anything and then reading to find out what was cancelled and what wasn't. Now, I know I'm going to sound hypocritical because I listened to the book and I really liked it. But I listened to it last year and while i remember the end I don't remember anything that happens before that. |

It took me until the 2nd read of it to get it. I didn't understand the dynamics of it until them. And I asked a forum alot, I had a list of things I needed
to understand HA.
He doesnt know her because it hasn't happened for him yet. When he leaves her during their married it is happening for him, seeing her as a little girl. BUT it already happened for her cause she was a little girl and is now an adult. |
