I'm leaving on Monday... My job is sending me for a week long training session.... I have a feeling I'm going to die of boredom.... any suggestions?

Go to a baseball game. And I'm sure they have museums and such. But then again, what do you do at home after work?

If you're still going to be in Cincinnati on Saturday, June 27. Go to the NKOTB concert!

I'm from cincy and apparently there are some good bars downtown. the black finn is really popular but make sure you dress to the nines.

NOTHING.
I went to college down around there...there's really not that much. Go to a Reds game I guess. If you want to eat/shop, you can go to Newport on the Levee. |

BlooCrayon wrote: Don't go to newport if you want to shop, there's nothing there anymore except restaurants and bars. Black Finn is a good bar downtown, as someone said. Mt Adams is not far from downtown and it's a cute area with great views of the city and lots of bars. It's not unreasonable, but it runs a tad bit expensive. As far as shopping goes- from downtown I'd recommend Rookwood in Hyde Park (I'm assuming you will have a car...). It's maybe 10 minutes north of downtown. If you want to go to a mall, go to Kenwood (about 15-20 min north of downtown). Museums: Underground Railroad Freedom Center, Cincy Museum Center (Union Terminal), Art Museum Other stuff: Newport Aquarium, Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Zoo, Fountain Square Food: Montgomery Inn Ribs, Greater's Ice Cream, and Skyline Chili - try them all at least once. Skyline is hit or miss with some people- you either love it or hate it, but it's uniquely Cincinnati. Skyline and Graeter's have locations downtown, and the Montgomery Inn Boathouse is along the river right outside of downtown. Go to: http://cincinnati.metromix.com/ for more suggestions |
