My holes closed up awhile ago and I want to get them repierced. Where did you go? I'm a little embarrassed to go into Claire's but I'll go if
that's the only option. And how much was it?
Thanks!

Don't go to Claires. Go to a tattoo/piercing place where they have someone trained to pierce your ears with a needle rather than a piercing gun.

Whatever you do, do not go to Claire's please. Find a good tattoo & piercing place and get it done there.

I'm thinking about getting my ears pierced again. I was about to go to Claire's.

When mine closed up, I re-did them myself. It hurt like a motherfucker, but they're fine now.

The tattoo place is good suggestion. I wasn't even thinking of that. There's one down the street from me - I'll check it out. Thanks!

Why would going to Clarie's be embarrassing?

Eh, you're just getting your ears pierced, not buying stuff for prom

guesswhatelse wrote: Why would you be uncomfortable going to a place that specialized in piercing's? I would feel uncomfortable going to Claire's where it's some random 16 year that trained on a dummy for 2 weeks holding a piercing gun to your ear and shooting it to jam a dull needle through your ear. A gun, might I add, that is festering with other peoples dead skin and what not. Not to mention that the jamming of the needle with the gun is actually bad for your ear. |

guesswhatelse wrote: I was only stating the truth and I do believe that Claire's stop piercing people's ears because it's not safe or sanitary. Obviously you're fine with their practices. I'm not. If Claire's was a tattoo parlor which was reusing old needles to pierce new clients I'm sure you wouldn't be telling me to "not shit on them" to make my point. |

It is more expensive at Tattoo shops because they do not use the gun. They use a brand new needle and then toss it out when they are done. It was 60 dollars
for my friend to get his cartilage pierced in LA. I got an industrial at another place in Windsor and it cost me 50 bucks so its different where you go. Just
go in the morning and there wont really be anyone there. Its not like they start talking to you about crazy shit. They are nice people.

I don't know anything about Claire's practices. I've never gotten my ears pierced there and don't know anyone who has. I just thought you were
going kind of hard on them because you really want people to go to a tattoo parlor.

Of course I do! It's more sanitary and safe! Whether you like the type of people that work there or not, if it's a good place then those guys have
spent the time to learn and properly do tattoos and piercings and they are damn serious about following good sanitary practices and aftercare for their
clients.

I've had both of my holes pierced at Claire's and never had a problem. All of my friends have, too.
