I didn't mourn her but Princess Di was definitely a shock to me. I remember being in a yahoo chat room late one night and someone came in and said she died
and we were all, wtf are you talking about, no she didn't and then we all turn on the news are are like wow...

I was really young when Princess Diana died but I was pretty upset. The same day as the accident we found out a relative (who was around Di's age) had
brain cancer so it was the first time my little self seriously thought about death and the fact that it doesn't just happen to old people.
Heath hit me pretty hard, too. I just couldn't shake that sad feeling for a while. |

Keith Whitley. I hadn't ever known someone who died of alcohol poisoning, and it hit me bad that it was such a waste of life and talent.
Princess Diana, mostly cuz I'd fallen asleep on the couch and woke up in the middle of the night to new coverage of the crash. I remember when Elton John same out with the special single with her version of Candle in the Wind, and several people drove the 30 miles it took to get someplace that carried it. I'd forgotten about Phil Hartman.

Chris Farley, Aaliyah, John Ritter and probably Heath Ledger hit me the hardest.

JFK Jr and Princess Diana. I was a WRECK about JFK, Jr....but both of those deaths were very "I remember exactly where I was/what I was doing"
moments for me. I cried for days

I was almost 11 when Princess Diana died but I remember being saddened by her death. My mom was watching all the coverage and I stayed up with her and it was
just so sad.
I remember when I first started to get into Queen when I was six and I got real sad when I realized Freddie Mercury was dead. George Harrison made me really sad. My dad and I were both bummed out for a few days. But Heath Ledger hit me the hardest. I remember being in the cafeteria of my college and one of my friends who's always telling white lies to get reactions out of people came up and told me and I said "stop fucking around." and then it just spread throughout the caf and it was true and I was so upset. This past January I rewatched all of his movies. And I was sad after watching Dark Knight. |

Heath Ledger. I remember the deaths of all the other people mentioned in this post, but Heath's really bummed me out.

None so far. I mean it was sad when Diana died and sad when Heath and Aaliyah died but I wasn't like huge fans of any of those people. Now if like Justin
Timberlake or Brad or Angelina or (God forbid) any of their kids, by proxy, I would be devastated.

John Ritter. And Heath Ledger definitely. I BAWLED when I found out about him. I still get really sad when I think about it and/or watch any of his movies.
He's one of my favorite actors.

Aaliyah. I get sad about other celebrity deaths, but with Aaliyah, I cried. I'll still cry if I think about it. Her death just hit me so hard.
And Eddie Guerrero. His death was so sudden and out of the blue. I got on the internet, found out about his death, and I just burst into tears. |
