My dog has had diarrhea since last night. She hasn't gone ridiculously often, just around 5 times in the past 24 hours. I only fed her one meal of rice
today to settle her stomach, but it didn't seem to help. She just went again and i'm afraid she's going to keep trying again and again tonight.
This wouldn't be as much of a problem if it wasn't raining out and she HATES the rain. Has a vet ever
told anyone that they could give their dog anything like Immodium or pepto? I don't want her to be uncomfortable all night. I plan on calling the vet
tomorrow morning if the problem actually does persist.

Do you have an emergency vet that you can call? I know we have one around here. Even if you call around and see if there is one in your area. Just explain the
situation and see if they can give you advice over the phone. But to make the dog comfortable tonight, you wanted to know if you could or what you should do. I
wouldn't bring her in to an ER if you can help it. But call. The worst they can say is they can't answer a question or anything.

answer (not one we wanted but an answer..

I suggest you try this: http://www.petco.com/prod...Cat=OnSiteSearch#details
My dog had serious diarrhea a while ago and this did wonders for him. Now I always keep it in stock just in case because my dog tends to eat things he's not supposed to. |
