Sean Penn's busy shooting schedule has suddenly gone dark.
In a sudden mood change that has caught two studios by surprise, Penn has pulled out of two major studio films.
Penn has informed Universal Pictures and Imagine Entertainment that he will be unable to star in the Asger Leth-directed drama "Cartel," which was slated to be his next movie.
He will also be unable to make the full start date of the MGM comedy "The Three Stooges," which is to be directed by Peter and Bobby Farrelly and also star Jim Carrey and Benicio Del Toro.
Penn, who recently wrapped "Fair Game," the Doug Liman-directed drama based on Valerie Plame's memoir, is taking an undetermined sabbatical to focus on his family.

I swear, I first thought you meant 'housing projects'!
In which case, I was going to be all, 'WTF is Sean Pean doing living in the projects, doesn't he have any money to buy a house?!'.
