Somebody told me that the land line will actually ring and an automated voice will read the text. I'm tempted to try it when I get home

Yeah, I don't think that's true.

It does with certain carriers, but it will cost you on your plan.

if i send a message to a land line number i get a reply back w/ "this is a landline number if you want you can have it sent for 25cents and an automated
voice will read the text" or something along those lines. i never send back to allow it though.

It worked for me before. It didn't charge me or anything, the phone just rang at my house and the text message was read by an automated voice. It was
strange

I've done it by accident. It's called a "Text to Landline". It rang and then a machine told him he had a text message sent from ph#------ and
to press 1 if he wanted to hear it. He said the machine read the text...lol
I realized i sent it to his home ph# by accident because i got a text reply saying the text i sent to ph#---- was successful. |

The police will come and arrest you for sending a false text to an incorrect number. Sucks for you.

AT&T sucks. I want this feature.
What about people who use "text" language? Does the automated voice just spell out the word? |
