Similar looks count, but whoever portrays Joan, in my opinion, has to be able to showcase the attitude of Joan Jett and also have musical ability. I know
Kristin will do a great job of looking similar to Joan, getting into character and she also plays guitar so she has musical talent.

Although I love Joan Jett a lot more than Cherrie Currie, I think Kristen should play Cherrie for the Runaways. Joan was considered a more stable one in the
group (compared to hot temper Lita Ford for example) while Cherrie's life was a lot darker with her hard party, drug abuse, not to mention that all of them
were abused by their manager (Fowley).
I believe this movie is told from Cherrie's point of view based on her book (http://www.amazon.com/Neo...ie-Story/dp/0843123486), I have to reserve my opinion later after the movie comes out but it seems to me that Dakota's role is a lot more challenging than Kristen's. |

She does actually give a little smile as she's leaving the gas station. Stewart stopped by a gas station in Los Angeles, California on June 15, 2009 to fill up her Mini Cooper. Just let the poor girl pump her gas in peace.

Looks
like that's what Kristen, or make that the makeup people, were trying to do in some of those candid pics today. But it only has the effect of making
Kristen look tired and strung out - it doesn't make her eyes more intense.
