I stopped doing my legs/arms, but still tune up "down there"
i caould never fathom using a razor, so i stuck to wax. Now i've been hearing about these "epilator" contraptions

You do not want to epilate your private parts!

It's like multiple tweezers violently yanking out hairs--like waxing in slow motion. Except you often have to go over the area more than once.

Actually getting the skin caught in this damn thing hurts more to me than nicking with a razor. It's nasty!

I epilate my legs, arms and arm pits but not my private parts.

I epilate and it hurt terribly bad the first couple times, but now it's not so bad. I guess because the hair grows back super fine.

I just bought one. It hurt on my lower legs and it took me two nights to do it because of the pain! I did it on my bikini area which I usually wax and it
barely hurt. I'm glad I bought one.

Can't you use Nair? It's a depilatory and apparently lasts longer than waxing and gives a more smoother result.
Nair, down there won't hurt. The application process isn't even difficult, just slap the stuff on, wait 15 minutes and rinse/scrub. |

I use this one : http://www.braun.com/us/silk-epil-epilators/silk-epil-xpressive.html
I like it alot. I can use it all over and you can use it wet. If you can handle waxing, you can handle epilating |

I jumped on the epilator bandwagon when zazzy jenna was raving about it. Did not like it. It didn't hurt too bad, but it never left me feeling smooth and
even after I stopped using it, my legs continued to feel bumpy for months.

If you've been waxing, then it probably wouldn't be so bad IF you weren't talking about hair removal on your shlongal area. Like someone said, your
skin may get stuck in the tweezers and that can sting. And epilating doesn't always get your hair at the root -- a lot of the time, it just breaks off the
hair leaving the area feeling prickly, not smooth to the touch.
I epilate my underarms and legs, but would never dare take it that far south! Although it would be fine epilate the area found by following your pleasure trail -- on a female, this area is called the mound; no idea what you'd call it on a guy. |

I recently bought a bikini-shaver kit and it came with an epilator. I used the epilator last night and actually liked it better than using a razor. It
wasn't too painful, felt like plucking, but much faster. I guess it depends on your pain tolerance.
About using Nair...I would never use that stuff again. I bought the one for facial hair removal and ended up looking like I got into a fight or something. I only had the cream on for a few minutes, felt it burning and immediately washed it off but still ended up with burns. I had to walk around with these burn marks on my face for a couple of weeks. Very embarrasing. Never again!!
