I'm trying to find a place to rent, but I am only finding places at craigslist. When I go to other places like rent.com it's all complexes which
I'm not interested in. I'm not from there, so I can't grab a newspaper to look at the classifieds. Also, I tried pistar.com which appears to be the
local paper online, but they have no classifieds either.
So....where do I look?
OK, anyone fromt eh Peoria, IL area?

OK I take back what I said on pistar.com not having classifieds. Found it. About to look now to see how helpful that is....

I don't live there, but my sister does, so I'm there a lot.
I think the complexes are the best places to live there. They have a lot of nice apartments, but it's a small college town so the single apartments can be pretty shitty. The best way is to go down there, if you can, and explore the city. I'm not sure why you'd want to live there, but to each their own. |

Is there a reason you don't want to live in a complex? In a town like Peoria, those are always the nicest.

Well my bf just graduated from Engineering school and got a job with ADM. We're planning on spending a few days there later this month, but I wanted to get
some ideas online before we go.
Niether of us want to live in a complex, for various reasons. Thanks, though. |

Well, most complexes that I've looked at have a no pet policy, which isn't an option for us. We've got 2 cats and are planning on getting a large
dog when we move. Some complexes that I've seen will allow dogs, under 25 pounds, or have a one pet limit.
