Yes. I married him.
Have you ever had a sweep-you-off-your-feet romance?

No. And I feel bad that I feel that right now one would just be getting in the way of what I need to accomplish right now.

i never thought it really existed past the first few mos either, but we're going on our 2nd year and he's still romantic. he likes to send me roses,
give me a little surprises... this past thursday, he had me dancing in the rain while he sang to me. i feel like carrie when she first started dating that
aleksandr patrovsky (sp) dude. i'm not used to it and i wonder how much i can take before i crack

I don't even want a sweep-me-off-my-feet kind of romance, I feel like thats askng for the almost impossible... I'll be okay if he loves me and respects me and just plain ol treats me good.... I don't need a perfect man just a good one will do... |

Yes. It was an amazing feeling and I don't know that I'd ever been happier. Then he dumped me 2 months later.

Yes....until he dropped me on my ass 5 months later. For this reason, I don't trust that feeling anymore...it's not real.

Yes and we have been married for 12 years now and I still feel that way. Not to say, I feel that way every minute with him, because every relationship has
it's faults, but most of the time I do. Don't settle! You will regret it in the end.

No. And last night I got drunk and emotional and decided I want that kind of romance, exactly.

i have NEVER been swept off my feet romantically - i have been and am madly in love and i still get butterflies in my stomach and that great fuzzy feeling when
i kiss my husband that happens in new relationships but romantically no one has come in and whisked me off my feet. i think partially it won't happen
because *I* won't allow myself to be swept off my feet, i like my feet firmly planted on the ground so i can keep one eye on the person at all times and
see what's coming LOL

The beginning of my relationship was like that. It gave me extremely high standards which can cause problems now that we are more "settled". I expect
a lot.

nope, never. People always seem so perfect in the beginning because you are purposely putting your best face forward, then it all goes to hell after that -
ppls true personalities and habits come through.

Nope, I don't think it really exists...When I was younger I always wanted that, but now that I'm older I think I would actually feel really awkward or
embarrassed if they did something really romantic (like proclaiming their undying love and affection for me in front of a ton of people, or even just to me).

wait if the beginning isn't like that.. how do you stay with who you are with. For my more serious relationships they were/are at the time
