In the fourth grade, we seriously didn't have class for a month so we could put on an entire musical. Dancing, singing, acting, etc. were involved. It was
intense

Ugh, yes. I hated it. It was just awful and fun in no way. It's gym for goodness sakes...lets play some dodgeball or kickball.

Yes and I hated it. I never got to dance with my crush even though I always had my fingers crossed. I had to do it for 1st - 5th grade.
We also did line dancing to Boot Scootn Boogie at the same time of year. |

I had almost forgotten all about that, but yes, we did that in elementary school also. I was in Kentucky at the time.

I had to in Junior High and High School. I remember liking it because during that unit we didn't have to change in our gym uniforms.

YES. I always thought it was fun though. They would label one gym door 'Boys' and the other 'Girls' and when you walked through you'd look
over to see who your partner was for the day. We would try to count the lines and match up with the least yucky boy. Never worked. Fate is funny that way.

We did in elementary school and in high school. And I grew up in queens so no Southern thing here.
I actually liked the dance portion of PE in high school. Something I was actually good at. |

Yes. And they didn't let us pick who we danced with, and I remember my 5th grade boyfriend and I staring at each other, helplessly, as we danced with gross
partners who had dry hands and shit. Bad memories, bad memories.

Square Dancing is the official state dance of Washington State (there's a license plate)
But we did it in elementary school and also at 6th grade "wilderness" camp and we also did line dancing in like 1st/2nd grade |
