It probably varies by state. They need to be in one until they turn 6 here.

I don't think boosters in general are as safe as carseats because seats have a 5 point harness and boosters typically just adjust where the adult belt sis
on the child. It does look funny, but if it's safer I think it's great.

Some of you are seriously scraping to find something to bitch about. The car seat is perfectly fine. You can use those seats with a lap belt which IS a
booster.

Most states it's either or.
If you are 60(or whatever weight) and/or under a certain age ( I think it's 8 in some states) and/or under a certain height. You have to be in a booster seat. The booster seat she is in is just fine. We use one like that for my daughter. |
