Posts: 15033 (06/10/2009 4:25 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Friend Block Invite Ignore	this bitch who sits next to me was instructed by the office manager to help back-up the phones when the receptionist is away from her desk. She never does even though she is over there typing away, I always end up picking it up after it rings 4 or 5 times even though I was told by the office manager not to (why? I have no idea, I guess she just wants to know who is directing calls to the wrong places so less hands in the pot the better?). About 5 minutes ago the receptionist came over and said the office manager was going to send the lady another email about how she needs to help...as soon as she got the email I could hear her over there grumbling all pissed off sounding. Then her little work BFF came over and she was saying how because she is in Marketing she shouldn't have to do tasks like backing up the phones and filing of her own paperwork that she generates (even though everyone else has to). bitch please. I had to bite my tongue so hard to not stand up and tell her stupid ass off. /rant I feel better now

I hate answering the phones...seems like every time I do I get the person who wants to tell me their whole life story

I wish that was my task, my life would be so much less stressful

So when she left the office I went and typed up a quick memo from her attorney saying he needed a bunch of labels for a case he was taking to trial that day and left it on her chair. She came back into the office and TOTALLY freaked out. I had to leave because I was about to crack up. It took her a while to finally figure out the labels and delivered them to him (he was 5 floors down in our building). Of course he looked at her like WTF when she came in with them. Then she realized who actually did it and let's just say, she's never said something was beneath her again. I hate answering the phone but we're in a small 6 person office and our office manager/receptionist is pregnant and now only works half a day, so me and the other paralegal in the office (totally different one from the story above) have to answer them in the afternoon. Working in a small office shows you that you aren't above doing ANYTHING.

She came back into our office and acted like nothing happened while I had my back to her, my face to my computer screen silently laughing. I think about five minutes later she just said 'you know I'm going to get you back, right?' I totally cracked up real loud at that point. She swears to this day that she will get me back.
