jon never seemed all that nurturing to me. he seemed bored w/ fatherhood. anyhow, kate can only do pr to make herself look good, but jon is responsible for his own actions. no one made him go out drinking and carousing, and if he doesn't want to be seen that way, he should stop doing it. no one is at fault for jon looking bad but jon. imo, both parents need a good smack.
