Welcome to the real world. I have to be to work early because I have to take my first phone call at 3pm sharp. I need time to log on the computer, log on the
phone. It's just part of working. You don't get to get there at x time slot and then get ready.

It doesn't take 10mins to log on to my computer. I start working the min I sit down at my desk. Besides, this includes any time we worked over at the end
of the day, too. As far as I understand, a company legally has to honor the time you worked, either by paying you for it or allowing you to leave early if they
won't pay it. I got cheated out of a whole extra hour that I worked last week, and that shit will add up week to week. I clocked out Friday at 5:40, and
now my timesheet has been altered to show me leaving at 5:00. This does not seem right to me.

I think Clear Channel is the devil for what they are trying to do to radio across the country.
But, I don't think they should alter time sheets. However, I do know companies can make you leave early or come in later to make sure you don't have overtime. My mom has been told to leave before because she was in danger of going over 40 hours. |

I think Clear Channel is the devil for what they are trying to do to radio across the country. I fully agree w/ both of your comments. They have completely fucked up all the stations here, as far as on-air talent and music goes. I hate it. Anyway, I wouldn't have a problem if they would allow me to leave early to avoid overtime. I asked my supervisor last week if that would be permitted, and she said no. She told me they would just pay overtime. Instead, you do not get paid for it, you cannot leave early (but still have to come in early), and they will just cheat you out of that overtime by tampering w/ your timesheets after they have been stamped.

Wtf that is so lame! Have you talked to your manager about it? I just applied for a job there as a promotional director and this makes me not even want the job
anymore...

However, watch your back b/c Clear Channel is shady as fuck. I have been here 6yrs and have gotten screwed over so many times. I should have left AGES ago. |

I would do a screen cap next week and send it in. They will get in a lot of trouble.
