First off, I plan to move to another part of the country in August for 5 months, and he knows that so he said he didn't want a girlfriend because he wouldn't be able to handle the far distance for that long. So if I'm not his girlfriend, he still tells everyone we're dating, all his best friends/roommates call me his girlfriend and tell me we're "amazing" together, plus his facebook picture is a very coupley picture of the two of us...but he still has the single on his status....its all very confusing. So...I really don't know what to do about it and what it all means....and I kind of hate being in the unknown, especially since he insists on not being labeled anything.. any help?

So...either talk about officially being titled or like kelli said, be prepared for him to likely move on when you leave.

It sounds like he doesn't want to be tied down to you because you're leaving. Just have fun with it if you're okay with that kind of thing. Don't make it any harder than it has to be. If you want a boyfriend, get rid of this guy and go find one.

He did say when I come back there could always be a chance of us getting together for real, but I know I can't depend on that. This is the part about dating I don't like.

I guess you have no choice but to take it or leave it. Sounds like he's holding the strings though and that doesn't sound too healthy. But yeah, if you guys are good together and you're having fun, just go with it and enjoy yourself. When you leave, find you a man that actually values you enough to hold on and feels the same way you do.

He obviously likes you, hence the picture and hanging with his friends and everything, but a LDR isn't for him and he was honest with you about that. So it is what it is. If you aren't happy with that, maybe you should stop seeing him.
