On the same token as the Assman name, one of my coworker's last name is Dookey. Yes, spelled just like that.

The money will go a long way to fix up the farm -- since the tractor was in the shop and the hay baler bailed on them. Psh, let me win this kind of money. I'd be changing that lifestyle so fast. I'd be paying off my bills, donating to charities. I feel like some people don't deserve to win..but like someone said, at least it's not some 80-year-old, someone who's not gonna live long enough to enjoy it anyway. |

It is unbelievable to me how much money that gets taken out for taxes. Obviously $88 million is plenty but damn its a far cry from $232!

I'm surprised he took the lump sum considering how young he is. I would have done it the other way..

Our last huge jackpot was won by 13 people, which worked out to a nice amount for each person. I think they should cap the lotteries at a certain amount. In
this guys case, even though he didn't get the full $232 million, $80million IMO is still far too much for one person, especially when given at once. No
guarantee that he is going to be wise with all that money and when you think it about all the people and charities that could use the money, if he squanders it
away (gambling, bad investment, lavish and unnecessary indulgences etc) that's a total waste of money that could have been used for something good.
I say all that because there was an article about the butcher from Toronto that won a huge sum of money and instead of taking the advice of the lottery people to keep a low profile, change his phone number and be cautious with what he chooses to do with his money, he gave out free food from his shop and gave either $1,000 or $5,000 to his employees. Well soon enough friends were asking for money and when he didn't give it to them they turned on him. Also people would claim to be long lost relatives asking for money and he'd constantly have to be checking up to see if their stories checked out. He also I think mentioned charities were all over him asking him for money. He pretty much ended up more or less hating the fact that he won the lottery because it just disrupted his life so much. |

Congrats and Good Luck to him. The moment he refuses to help some friend, distant relative or some townperson he doesn't know he is going to be hated. I
hope he changes his phone number and gets good financial advice from a reputable company.

Good for him. I hope it doesn't ruin his life. It's sad the way money makes people so shameless. He should def get financial advice or something and do
some good with that money.
