There had been a lot of speculation after Julie Chen informally announced there would be 10 houseguests. Thankfully that turned out to not be true or we'd lose a few precious weeks of BB11 fun. Tipster Heather also learned that Big Brother will announce the 12 houseguests in the first week of July, much as we'd expect but always good to have it confirmed by CBS. Less than 4 weeks until we know!

It was hysterical to talk with her in person. I think she's a riot but she talked my head off with her crusty voice and told me something about some radio show that she wanted to be on. I could barely understand her with her heavy accent!

I decided I'd venture into the lot and see if I could get any info from the construction workers, etc. I met this one guy and I told him I worked as an intern for CBS. He did not believe me, but his friend walked by as I was leaving and sarcastically said "who's idea was it to build a second %#@^ing house this year?". I said "WAIT A SECOND HOUSE!?" and the guy goes "Yeah. An exact freaking replica". Interested, I walked around the lot and asked everyone I could about the new season. I talked with a woman who claimed to be close to the show. She explained that this year, there are apparently two houses with 12 people in each. They both think they're in the original (and only) house. The idea is that it's a battle of the houses. Each week, one person from each house is evicted. And at the end, America decides which of the two winners (one winner in each house) gets to keep the money. Wayyyyyyyyyy too many people to keep track of, and I think it would be really unfair to lead someone on the whole time thinking they are the winner, and then they may not be. Dumb fucking idea.

And then the show has to switch back and forth between two houses!! It makes me dizzy thinking of it and too many people to keep track of or get to know well and choose favourites.

There is a twist this season. She obviously can't reveal it yet. It's unique, it's "incredibly relatable." Everyone will be able to identify with the twist. Something happens on premiere night that is "unprecedented." She can't give much b/c the cast is not sequestered yet. The house is modern. They're going "green."
