We've learned Brandy has just reached a settlement with the kids whose mother died in the singer's 2006 car crash.
Awatef Aboudihaj's two children will receive a total of $600,000 -- $300,000 each -- according to court documents filed in L.A. County
Superior Court moments ago.
Aboudihaj died in 2006 after her car was struck by Brandy's Range Rover near the interchange of the 405 and 101 freeways in Los Angeles.
Her husband, Marouane Hdidou -- who has yet to settle with Brandy -- rejected his part of a $1.2 million settlement offer in February.

Sorry but this made me think of Dance Flick where there's a hit and run and Brandy's name was on the license plate. HA!

Wow, I have never heard of that incident. So it was Brandys fault that the woman died? Has she ever publically spoken about it? I also didn`t know you can get
away with killing somebody buy giving money to the dependants.

I thought it came out last year that it was the woman's fault and not Brandy's. Or maybe they shared equal fault then?

Yeah. I believe it came out that the Brandy was not entirely to blame.
And no. I don't think she hasn't spoke out about it. I think the fact that she basically fell off the face of the earth for a long time after it happened shows that she was remorseful about what happen and didn't really need to speak out. Not to mention, the only people who need to know her feelings about what happen is the woman's family. I am sure Brandy spoke to them privately. |

I think it sucks that she is having to deal with settling this when she wasnt completely to blame and if I remember correctly, wasnt negligent. I feel for
these kids that lost their mother but would they have gotten $600k if it wasnt for the fact that someone rich and famous was involved in the accident?

Thats kind of ridiculous that the whole financial burden was put on her. People can be so greedy.

Yeah, it was revealed that the woman who died was pretty high at the time of the accident.

I also heard the woman was high, which is why I am questioning why Brandy is being held liable for any of this.

This is not a criminal case. Brady was found not criminally responsible. This is a civil suit, to the best of my knowledge. And I
wish they would stop saying Brandy settled with the kids or the husband did not settle with Brandy. For goodness' sake, it's with the insurance
company. Even though she is named as a co-defendant with the insurance company, it's the insurance company that's liable ffor the
costs.

Oh wonderful. You kill someone's mom and settle it by paying off her kids. Nice going, Brandy.
