I'm I the only one who thinks Obama really does support gay marriage?

Dick Cheney announced his support of gay marriage today! His daughter is a lesbian. As much as I dislike Cheney and anything connected to Bush's
presidency, I'm happy he took one step towards party unity. Good for him for being outspoken about it.
And huge props to Obama! And Hillary, who said she'll fight for gay rights globally and would like to end violence directed towards the GLBT community. Aww, I'm so proud of everyone!

For how liberal he is on other issues (abortion in particular), it doesn't make sense that he would be against gay marriage. I imagine he only says it for political gain. But this for sure a step in the right direction. How exciting! |

Kind of a bummer that I just found out my boyfriend needs to hand over his passport tomorrow to get his visa renewed, and won't get it back for 2 weeks! Thats his only form of ID here that anyone actually accepts, so we won't be enjoying the nightlife side of pride so much, but oh well! |

Yes, it's been Gay Pride Month forever, but this is the first time in 8 years a President has given it notice.
