Would it be a dumb idea to create an account if you're a very private person? Would it be weird to not have tons of info/pics? All the people I know have galleries of photos and lots of info about themselves. I've been told I should make one, but I'm undecided.

You only need to put what you want, and you can also chose who gets to see which parts of your profile. For example you can ban work friends from seeing what
your friends are writing on your wall etc.

You can delete anything.. you can put as little or as much information on your page as you want. But I feel like if you are going to always be deleting wall
posts and stuff it might be a waste of time.
It's a good way to keep in touch, though. |

you can also make it so people can't even search for you. only you can request to add people.
